THE GOOD SHEPHERD; the supplier of needs.

Glancing through my book of Bible stories I saw a picture of a sheep and its shepherd. The sight of the shepherd gave the sheep some hope, comfort and assurance…It was a picture so how then could I tell? Funny isn't it. We smile when we have someone being there for us and that's the exact expression the sheep had.

Having parents or helpers who pay your fees takes a huge load off you especially when the next semester approaches, but, having no one to turn to creates anxiety, fear, worry and panic. This is because we know a shepherd in the form of parents, supporters or loved ones providing, makes life easier and better unlike searching for one's own daily bread.

Despite it all, Do you know you have a shepherd? Does He exist? Yes, he does. He has always been right beside you and willing to help you.

More often we loose sight of our shepherd. We fight our battles with so much energy and strength putting our shepherd to rest when His desire is for us to rest, while he takes up our worries, burdens, loads, tragedies, ailments and turn them into hope, joy, victory, healing, wealth, smiles and success.

This shepherd of your life is your source, your father and saviour Jesus Christ. Have you read Psalm 23:1 which says " The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want".
This Shepherd you have and I have protects us as his sheep and provides everything for us from wealth to health and even the petty things we could think of. Knowing him as such brings us to a place of faith, supply and sustenance.

It's sometimes hard to believe God thinks about the dresses we desire to wear, the pen we need for a paper or the books and notes we have to study, but all these are important to Him. As our shepherd He makes us lie down in green pastures; taking us to a place of rest while he takes the wheel. He provides and makes all that seem impossible and non-provisional, provisional.

You don't have to force or ragged yourself trying to solve and make all things work and perfect as though you have no God (Shepherd) who cares. You have to let go of this burden and leave your Shepherd to take care of it that is why He is there as your shepherd.

Christ our Shepherd, supplies and sustains us. It's of no mistake King Solomon in 1 Kings 5:4 said "But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence".
Having the Lord as his shepherd there was no evil occurrence because Christ took it all away and stood in for him while he rests.

The shepherd of your life is seeking and willing to take the wheel of your life. Each part of you matters to Him; just leave everything to Jesus as you rest.

As you go about today put Him in charge and declare "The Lord is my Shepherd"
