The Cycle - 2
5 October 2026

Your story has revealed that which happened
Your story explained your background
Your story gave meaning to some situations and actions in the past
But has your story given you an identity?
And now you have a platform to highlight the trauma, the challenges, neglect and pain
Everyone sees and understand why and now sympathize with you
They share your story and probably give you bigger platforms to echo the story in the ears of others
A lot of people leave your gathering angry at those who hurt you
They leave thinking differently about life
They leave wondering if their reality is real or a camouflage
They want to take the same actions you have taken.
Sit down. Breathe in. Breathe out.
Are you telling your story from the place of victory or are you still trapped in your pain, anger, or trauma?
Are you talking as an overcomer or as a victim?
Is the past your new identity or the very identity God gave you?
Are you known by your name or by your past?
Telling the story is never wrong
But ask yourself, "what is the purpose of telling the story?"
Is to help another find freedom?
Is it to let someone know they can come out of the same?
Is it to spread love despite being denied the same?
Is it to be the best version of who God has made you?
Is it to finally help others identify their identity in Christ?
A story without a purpose gives diverse outcomes
and this creates a new narrative, a new culture and a new system
It gives a different identity
Before you can control it, it might be too late
So before you turn on that camera
Accept that invite or write that book
Ask yourself, what do I want to achieve with this?
What does God want to do with my story?
Before you even begin to think of this purpose
Make sure you are healed
Make sure you are well
Understand your identity in He who created you
Understand the victory you have
Understand your strength in Him
So now, write down the vision and tease out the purpose
Then move to manifest all that He has called you to become
Breaking the cycle isn't just avoiding repetitions:
it's transformation through the breaking
It's restoration through the breaking
It's restitution through the breaking
It's wholeness through the breaking
It's the walk of divine purpose
Break the Cycle but don't destroy your true identity.
