GUILT
13 August 2021

This wrong I did is beyond God's forgiveness. I know He is all-forgiving but for this one I am not sure I can be forgiven. This is too big a sin to be forgiven.
This may have been your story or is your story now. Many of us walk this life filled with guilt that we close our hearts to the love of God that's just by us.

Our guilt blinds us so badly that we see nothing positive and consider ourselves the worst sinners. We punish ourselves for our mistakes though we know God has forgiven us irespective of how big it is.
This guilt we carry hinders us from fellowshipping and opening up to the opportunities around us.
Imagine yourself walking in a forest better still the wilderness or the desert with a friend you are trying hard to avoid but she keeps following, with the desire to hide or flee from her, you realise you pay no attention to whatever she tells you. As you desire to run you realise that you can barely hear what she says.

It is the same with guilt when we ponder on our wrongs. We grow soo much guilt in our hearts and spirit that we push away anything good that comes our way, especially from God. We lose sight of the unconditional love of God which is the friend chasing us around to tell us "I love you irrespective of your odds". This gives room for the enemy to take control of our thoughts and we might regret what we will end up doing.
Most times the guilt we feel is to let us know the wrong we are doing and the need to correct it and return our heart to God and not to let it take control over us.
When feeling guilty you just have to know it was a mistake and you have to ask for forgiveness from God and after forgiving yourself, see things positively and focus on walking in the will of the Father.

Guilt is not an emotion to create a distance between you and your Father, It's an emotion to get your heart right back to him and make you aware of how much He loves you and desires to teach you at every step of the way.
When you feel guilty, don't let it consume you. Rather, take a pause, think through, pray for forgiveness and ask God to teach you how to walk in His will by His word.
